Carlos Espí: "It Was a Very Special Day for Me and All My People"

Carlos Espí experienced one of the most important moments of his football career yesterday afternoon. The player from Tavernes de la Valldigna capped off a fantastic season by scoring his first goal for the first team in a very special setting, the Ciutat de València, his home ground. As he himself acknowledges, "It was a special day for me and my family."

His family and friends were present for this special occasion, sharing in the unique moment with Carlos Espí. "All my people were in the corner of the area where I scored, and when I lifted my head and saw everyone going crazy, my whole family, my father crying... it was a very emotional moment," recalls the player after netting his first goal for the first team. A goal that kept him up late as his phone didn't stop buzzing: "I went to bed very late, going through all the messages I had, and I also watched the goal and the celebration repeatedly."

The forward is experiencing an unforgettable season: "It has been an incredible year with the contract renewal with the club, the Copa del Rey, the debut with the National Team, winning the league with the youth team, the Copa de Campeones... The icing on the cake was scoring in Segunda and doing it in this stadium."
