Levante UD held an institutional statement this noon regarding the terrible tragedy that occurred yesterday afternoon in Valencia due to a fire in a building in the Campanar neighborhood of the capital. President Pablo Sánchez, spokesperson Maribel Vilaplana, and Sports Director and Coach Felipe Miñambres addressed the media to convey their condolences for this incident.

Maribel Vilaplana, spokesperson for the Board of Directors of Levante UD, stated, "All the members that make up this club want to convey our deepest condolences to the families of the people affected by the fire that has left Valencians and the entire country in shock. We have been experiencing very tough hours since yesterday. It is a day to empathize with the pain of the affected and the families of the victims." Vilaplana also had words for the emergency services: "We want to express our utmost admiration for the firefighters. They have proven to be incredible professionals and, above all, individuals with a lot of courage."

The club's top executive, Pablo Sánchez, acknowledged that "it is a very sad day for all Valencians. We stand in solidarity with all the victims, families, and those affected by this tragedy that has shocked us all. As soon as we learned of the tragic event yesterday, we got to work, and one of our colleagues, Javier Ramos - the kitman for the first men's team - went to the vicinity of the building to bring clothes. It was cold, people were outside suffering, and we made ourselves available to all associations and authorities with the means we had at that moment, willing to help in any way necessary."

Finally, Felipe Miñambres also expressed condolences to the victims and stated, "Right now, this is the most important thing, and the sporting aspect will come later. As you know, tomorrow's match has been postponed."
