José Danvila: "I'm here to help Levante"

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

The Levante UD investor responds to the club's questions after signing the agreement with the "Cent Anys" Foundation of Levante UD on March 14th. Through this agreement, Danvila, who is also a director of Levante UD, injects €23 million with a viability plan that involves acquiring part of the club's debt and purchasing shares of the company.

The investor José Danvila insists that he is here "to solve a specific liquidity problem, to inject capital that the club needs at this particular moment and to allow it to move forward." Danvila acknowledges that he could have made a different proposal or could have aimed to have a majority, but "I have always wanted to work hand in hand with Levante supporters and the Foundation in all my proposals."

Despite the agreement being approved and signed by the Foundation, José Danvila has included an additional commitment regarding the "non-use of his shares to appoint Trustees of the Foundation even after the Contract expires, as well as a commitment not to transfer such shares without the acquirer assuming the same obligation," as stated in the Foundation's statement.

Open door for anyone willing to invest

José Danvila has expressed surprise at comments suggesting that other investors have not been allowed to enter negotiations. Danvila has assured that the doors are open to anyone willing to invest in Levante and wonders if there will be many people willing to inject €23 million. "If anyone wants to invest, they should do so on the same level as everyone else; I believe it is fair." The CEO also believes that keeping the club in the hands of Levante supporters is also very important.

"Injecting capital, reducing costs, increasing revenue, and managing the sports sector"

José Danvila has pointed out that he is primarily at Levante UD to inject the necessary capital to prevent the club from facing administrative relegation; reduce costs to align them with rigor and sustainability; increase revenue from all the assets Levante possesses, as well as to improve management in the sports field.

Active listening and respect for the fans

Regarding the criticism received from some groups of fans, José Danvila has stated that he will always listen to everyone, to all the parties involved, such as the FROG or the Peñas Delegation, who also "have the right to express whatever they want." It is very important to be close to the fans because they are sovereign, and they will surely allow Levante to improve. However, "I ask them for time to be able to manage and develop all the projects we have to take Levante to where it deserves."
