Levante UD become aware of the resolutions of the Competition Committee and receive the response from the CTA

The RFEF Competition Committee have made known the sanctions imposed following the match played last Friday against CD Leganés. In addition to the penalty match that Capa and Postigo must serve as a result of receiving a fifth yellow card, Levante UD have received a financial penalty (400 euros) for “failure to comply with orders, instructions, agreements or regulatory obligations.” Likewise, analyst Luismi Loro, CEO José Danvila and sports director Felipe Miñambres have also been fined (602 euros each).

Today, Levante UD have also received the response from the Technical Committee of Referees to the request made by the club to listen to the VAR audio of the action in which Dani Gómez's goal against CD Leganés was disallowed. The first thing that the CTA have communicated to the Levante UD management is that listening to the audios is not a common practice, nor is it something that they are obliged to do as a rule. In fact, the Committee have argued that these meetings “are not held for clubs to look at specific situations or specific actions in the game, to demand listening to the audios of them, or to raise a formal complaint about the refereeing decisions”, and for those reasons they have refused the visit.

Finally, as they have already done with other new directorates and Boards of Directors of other clubs, the CTA have offered to let Levante UD learn about their facilities and the entire operating system of their technical and personnel resources during the coming weeks.
