Levante UD Concludes Season with a Draw Against SD Huesca
Levante UD and SD Huesca ended their season with a goalless draw at Estadio El Alcoraz. The highlight of the match was the debut of Paco Cortés and Lass, who played their first minutes with the first team.
The initial chances of the game were for Levante UD. The first near-goal opportunity came at the eleven-minute mark with a shot from outside the box by Xavi Grande. Following a rebound, Bouldini took a chance, but the ball was cleared again, and the play ended with a shot by Carlos Álvarez, which was blocked by the defense. Despite coming close to scoring, the referee called offside on the forward, nullifying the action. As time progressed, Levante UD maintained possession, but both teams struggled to create dangerous opportunities. Levante UD tried again around the half-hour mark with a free kick taken by Carlos Álvarez, which Postigo headed over the crossbar.
The response from the home side came from Kortajarena, who headed a cross, but Joan Femenías made a good save to keep the ball out of the net. Following this chance, SD Huesca pushed harder for a goal. However, in the final minutes of the first half, Levante UD resumed their attacks. They attempted with a cross from Xavi Grande that Pablo Martínez headed, but Juan Pérez sent it out for a corner, and later, a cross from Carlos Álvarez that Algobia headed, but the defense cleared.
After the break, Levante UD made changes, and Paco Cortés made his debut. The young player sent in a good cross that Bouldini headed, but it was saved by the goalkeeper. Shortly after, Roger Brugué sent the ball over the bar. SD Huesca also had their chance with a cross from I. Vilarrasa that Kortajarena headed just wide. In the second half, another player from Levante's academy, Lass, made his debut, entering the field in the 73rd minute.
Neither SD Huesca nor Levante UD could find the back of the net, and they ended up sharing the points in the last match of the season.
