Levante UD earns one point against an undefeated Burgos CF at El Plantío.
Levante UD earned a point in their visit to El Plantío, a stadium where no team has managed to win and against a side that had secured three consecutive victories with clean sheets. Burgos CF took the lead in the first half, but the Granotas didn't give up and ended up securing the draw.
The Levante players started the match with control and possession of the ball. However, the first shot on target in the early stages came from the home team with a long-range effort from Álex that Andrés saved. The rebound fell to Álex again, but this time he sent it wide. Levante UD responded with a dangerous cross from Xavi Grande that resulted in a corner. The Valencia side seemed more comfortable on the field, but a corner in favor of Burgos CF changed the game. Álex took the corner, got the ball back, and, from inside the box, sent a cross-shot into the back of the net.
The Azulgranas didn't give up and tried through Giorgi, whose shot went over the bar, and Fabrício, who, after a pass from Carlos Álvarez, also sent the ball wide. In the final moments of the first half, Andrés Fernández had to make a double save to prevent the second goal from the home team, first from a shot by Curro and then from one by Dani Ojeda.
After the break, the first clear chance came for Levante UD with a cross from Fabrício that neither Dela nor Maras managed to convert in front of the goal. The ball rolled across the goal line and went out. The Brazilian forward tried again later with a half-turn shot that went wide. Burgos' response came with a shot from Bermejo that hit the right post of Andrés Fernández's goal. Levante then equalized, thanks to a perfect combination between Dela and Roger Brugué. The defender played a through ball, and the number '7' struck from outside the box, putting the ball into the opponent's net. During the final minutes of the match, Andrés Fernández emerged as the most important player, making several interventions to thwart the chances of Curro, Bermejo, and Joni Montiel.
Ultimately, thanks to the effort of the entire team, which completes a week of three matches, Levante UD managed to secure a point at a ground where few have succeeded.
