Levante UD successfully completed a collaboration and sports development trip to Costa Rica from February 15 to 22, through its International Training department, in collaboration with its partner in the country, Escorpiones de Belén, a team that competes in the Costa Rican Second Division.

The main objective of the visit was to strengthen institutional relations and collaborate closely to promote sports development in the region. Throughout the week, various activities were carried out to strengthen ties and encourage the exchange of knowledge.

The agenda included significant meetings such as a visit to the Embassy of Spain, meetings with the Minister of Sports of the country, and with the Costa Rican Football Federation, including its president, Osael Javier Maroto. These meetings were crucial to understanding the sports reality of the country and exploring possible areas of future collaboration. The Minister of Sports of Costa Rica, Royner Mora, highlighted the "great opportunity" for his country to forge alliances with a team like Levante UD. He expressed pride in having this visit and learning how the club works to unite efforts.

In addition, a highly productive workshop was organized at the facilities of EPA, a collaborating company of the Escorpiones de Belén club. During this session, knowledge and experiences were shared with the club's executives, seeking synergies to strengthen growth and efficient management.

Parallel to institutional activities, time was dedicated to closely following the development of the youth divisions of the Costa Rican club. With over 400 players in age ranges from 6 to 18 years old, matches were observed from both academy teams and the first team. This follow-up confirmed the notable sports evolution since the previous visit to the club in December 2021.

Dani Pastor, director of the International Training Area of the club, stated that "this trip has not only strengthened ties with our partner in Costa Rica but has also provided valuable insights into the sports landscape in the region. We are excited about future collaboration opportunities and the positive impact that together we can achieve in football development."

He also expressed gratitude to Escorpiones de Belén and all those who made this enriching experience possible. "We are eager to continue contributing to the growth of sports and to strengthen our collaborative relationship," he concluded.
