The Nuevo Centro Shopping Center hosts the exhibition "Copa España Libre, a trophy to honor" until May 11.
The Nuevo Centro Shopping Center hosts the exhibition "Copa España Libre, a trophy to honor," which can be visited until May 11, on the occasion of the celebration of the first anniversary of the official recognition of this trophy won by Levante FC, with the collaboration of Gimnástico, in July 1937, and recognized by the RFEF on March 25, 2023, a year ago. Organized by the Historical Heritage Area of Levante UD and the shopping center itself, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of the club and relive key moments of its trajectory.
The inauguration counted with the collaboration of the club's Foundation, which held an exhibition of its ping pong section, and was attended by the Levante UD's General Director, Pedro Sáiz, the Business Development Director, Miguel Miró, the Communication and PR Director, Puri Naya, the Foundation's Director, Vicente Herrero, as well as the head of the Heritage Area, Emilio Nadal; from the Nuevo Centro shopping center, its director, Alfredo Tell, and the head of institutional relations, David Mazcuñán, were present.
Puri Naya thanked Nuevo Centro for hosting the exhibition "which vindicates something so important for Levante UD and which was achieved with a lot of effort, just like its recognition a little over a year ago. It is an honor to remember this feat with your support."
"From the Board of Directors and from the club, specifically from the Historical Heritage department, led by Emilio Nadal, we have overcome many obstacles to have the official recognition of this Copa de España, but here it is because when something is yours, it belongs to you and you have earned it, eventually it arrives. The recovery of the Copa España Libre is a story of overcoming and perseverance, two words that also define Levante, and that makes it even more ours," added Puri Naya.
Emilio Nadal, in fact, has been responsible for explaining which pieces make up the exhibition and what fans who come to Nuevo Centro will be able to find. "The Copa España Libre is the main protagonist and is flanked by replicas of the jerseys of Valencia FC and Levante FC, the teams that played the final at the Sarriá stadium. They are accompanied in a privileged place by the shirt of Vicente Iborra, captain of Levante UD in the match against Real Zaragoza in the 22/23 season, when the RFEF officially recognized the Cup," he explained.
In addition, the exhibition contains different panels with documentation related to Levante "both in the prelude to the Civil War and contemporary documents of the conquest of the Cup, as well as collectible cards of the...
David Mazcuñán was very grateful to Levante UD for "having chosen the Nuevo Centro Shopping Center to exhibit such an important trophy in the club's history. I take this opportunity to invite all Levante fans and the general public to come and visit it until the 11th, when the exhibition will end."
The exhibition will also feature two other days of notable activities, including a new edition of Portal de Vallejo special "Copa de la España Libre" and a signing session with a player and a player of Levante UD.
