Andrés Fernández will continue to defend the Levante UD jersey for another season after reaching an agreement with the club to renew his contract.
Levante UD and Andrés Fernández have reached an agreement to extend their contractual relationship until June 2025. Therefore, the goalkeeper will continue to serve the interests of the Levante club for another season, marking his second year as a granota.
The paths of Andrés Fernández and Levante UD crossed last summer. After an extensive career in Spanish football with teams such as CD Tenerife, RCD Mallorca, CA Osasuna, SD Huesca, Granada CF, and Villarreal CF, as well as an adventure in Portugal with FC Porto, the Alcantarilla (Murcia) native moved to Valencia to bring his experience to the granota team.
Since his arrival, the goalkeeper has earned the respect of Levante fans due to his commitment and involvement, both on and off the pitch, and has become a key figure in the locker room, where he consistently aims to assist his teammates with his experience.
His strong performances have placed him fifth in the Liga Hypermotion ranking for the highest percentage of clean sheets, having kept his goal untouched in 15 of the 31 matches played in this competition. Andrés has participated in a total of 32 official matches this season, including one in the Copa SM El Rey.
