Levante UD and José Morales reunite after reaching an agreement for his incorporation into the Levante squad until June 2025, with an option for an additional season. The player joins the Orriols club as a free agent after finishing his contract with Villarreal CF.

José Morales will wear the Levante UD jersey again after coming to an agreement with the club he considers his home. The footballer joined the club in 2011 to strengthen Atlético Levante UD. After two excellent seasons with the reserves, during which he played in the promotion playoffs to the Second Division B and the Second Division, he renewed his contract in 2013 and was loaned to SD Eibar. With the Armeros, he achieved promotion to the top tier. Upon his return to Levante UD, he became a key player for the team, also taking on the captaincy.

After his time with Levante, the Madrid-born player joined Villarreal CF, representing them for two seasons during which he made his debut in European competitions, participating in the UEFA Conference League and the UEFA Europa League.

'El Comandante,' during his time with Levante, defended the blaugrana shirt in 311 official matches with the first team, making him the second player with the most matches in professional categories, behind Félix Ettien (324), and the fourth in the overall ranking, behind Agustín Dolz (346), Ettien (324), and Latorre (317). Moreover, his 63 goals in the top tier made him the top scorer for Levante in the First Division.
