Levante UD women added its second win of the preseason with a solid victory against Madrid CFF in a charity match played in La Fuensanta, Cuenca. The Granotas showed their dominance from the start, although the scoreboard did not open until the second half, thanks to a goal by Érika.
The visitors started strongly, creating the first dangerous chances of the match. In the first five minutes, Sosa and Torrodà already put the Madrid CFF defense in trouble, but the latter managed to clear the Granotas' attempts. Throughout the first half, Levante continued their siege on the rival goal, with Sosa being the protagonist in several plays, including one from midfield that almost surprised the rival goalkeeper.
Madrid CFF, while holding off the onslaught well, also had their chances, but Levante's solid defense, with Tarazona safe at the back, prevented them from taking the lead.
After the break, Levante came out with the same intensity. Érika was very active, and it was in the 63rd minute when she managed to break the tie on the scoreboard. The Granota player dribbled skillfully and, after a precise assist from Estela, sent the ball into the back of the net. Just two minutes later, Érika had another chance, this time with her left foot, but the ball went wide.
Madrid CFF tried to react in the last minutes, but their attempts were in vain. With this victory, and added to the one achieved against Rangers FC the previous week, Levante UD women continues its preparation for next season with very good feelings.
The next match of the granota team will be on Wednesday August 14 against Valencia CF at 9:30.
