Women
Levante UD and Roger Lamesa (Lleida, August 6, 1990) have reached an agreement for the Catalan coach to become the new head coach of Levante UD Femenino for the next two seasons. Lamesa joins the granota project after managing Granada CF for the past three seasons.
Roger Lamesa took charge of Granada CF in the summer of 2021 and, over the course of three seasons, achieved all the objectives set for the Nazarí team. In his second season on the Granada bench in the second division of Spanish football, he won the promotion playoff to the Liga F, defeating CA Osasuna and Deportivo Abanca along the way to reach the top tier. Additionally, he had an impressive run in the Copa de la Reina, eliminating top-tier teams FC Levante Las Planas, Betis, and Alavés, before being knocked out in the quarterfinals by Atlético de Madrid.
Previously, the Catalan coach showcased his credentials in his first major challenge as head coach of women's football at Secció Esportiva AEM Lleida. In his hometown, he achieved promotion to the national category Reto Iberdrola and qualified the team for the promotion phase to the current Liga F in the 2020-21 season. This trajectory caught the attention of Granada CF, who recruited him for their project to reach the elite of Spanish women's football, a goal he achieved in his second year on the Nazarí bench, where he also won the Copa de Andalucía by defeating Sporting de Huelva led by Mayra Ramírez.
In addition to his early steps at Unió Esportiva Lleida, Lleida Esportiu, and UE Balafia, Roger Lamesa joined the FC Pune City project (2016-18), where he took on roles in technical direction and youth development, and also managed their second team. All of this, until he received the call from SE AEM Lleida.
